It is believed that Antonio Vivaldi himself wrote the twelve individual sonnets to go along with each movement of the Four Seasons. Program music wasn't a technique that was typically employed during the Baroque period (in fact, the term 'program music' wasn't invented until the romantic period), so Vivaldi's work is quite unique. When composers write a musical narrative set to a line of text, a poem, or any other form of writing (which is typically published within the concert's program notes), that is said to be program music. Since its publication, musicologists consider Vivaldi's Four Seasons to be among the boldest program music ever written during the Baroque period. The Four Seasons (Le quattro stagioni) consists of four concerti ( Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter), each one in a distinct form containing three movements with tempos in the following order: fast-slow-fast. Good news though, we can always enjoy his music.Inspired by landscape paintings by Italian artist Marco Ricci, Vivaldi composed the Four Seasons roughly between 17, and published them in Amsterdam in 1725, in a set of twelve concerti entitled Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione ( The Test of Harmony and Invention). Like some other geniuses, Vivaldi died in poverty in 1741.He had some success in Venice, Mantua and Vienna and moved there after meeting the Emperor Charles VI.The first proper electrical recording was made in 1942. It is not clear when the first recording to the Four Seasons was made.These concerts were a revolution in musical conception, as he represented flowing creeks, birds (different species), barking dogs, mosquitoes, storms….Three of the concerts are wholly original, and Spring is the only one that borrows motifs from his own opera Il Giustino.He returned to Venice in 1725 and wrote the Four Seasons, four violing conceros that give musical expressions to the seasons of the years.

In 1722 moved to Rome and the pope Beneich XIII invited to play for him.

In 1703, when he was 25 was ordained priest, and his nickname was the Red Priest, due to the color of his hair, a family trait.
